Make specific and realistic goals
Weight loss and gaining mass are too abstract. They are results that you will get as you follow along with a list of goals. These results or outcomes won’t be happening on their own so get up, set realistic and specific goals, and get working.
Small achievable time-specific goals let you know where you lie on the progress chart and lead a focused path. Something like losing 50lbs in a week is more like it.

Get out of your comfort zone
This is the way if you don’t want to kick the boredom away and see the results. Lifting the same weights and following the same routine won’t be effective after a while. Mixing up the routine, increasing intensity, doing a new workout, or trying something like martial arts or sports are a few options.
Everyone is different and you can follow come up with a routine you like. Make these tweaks to your routine after 6 to 8 months, as beyond this period the body gets used to the workout and it loses its effectiveness.

Abs aren’t made on the floor!
We also want abs but the harsh reality is they aren’t easy to get. Crunches are more like a workout for abs, i.e. When they are already there. Instead of crunches, you should focus on other workouts that engage the core like planks, hanging leg raise, etc. Remember to keep your form and posture perfect while performing exercises. It is not just about feeling the burn!
Keep it short
The longer workout duration is less effective the results are. For instance, a 30 to 45 minutes intense workout is better than a sloppy and droopy and fatigued long workout. So, if you are trying to lose weight quick and good switch to HIIT instead of long cardio sessions.

The world is your gym
When aiming for fitness your efforts are not confined in the gym. You have to adapt to a healthy lifestyle. Open your mind and use the surroundings to remain active. For instance, take the stair instead of the elevator, walk more, eat healthily, and sleep well.
Challenge yourself with the workout and when you have to skip, i.e. Not the rest day, workout at home. Go skiing, hiking, rock climbing, or whatever you like even dancing is a good workout. Missed the gym because you had a date? No worries, go on a romantic walk after eating or walk them home. Get creative and open your mind!
Make it fun
Fitness is not circling gyms there are many other fun ways to get and remain fit. Sports, martial arts, skiing, hiking, rock climbing, swimming, dancing, etc. If you don’t want to do any of these you can just play around with your children or siblings at home or outside. Playing like a child is also a good workout and you become the favorite parent or sibling as an added benefit.

Get massages
Massages help the body get relaxed, loosen up, and improve blood flow. Which helps with recovery and workout pain. Thus, you should try getting a massage once in a while. For this, you can either get a massage roller and give yourself one after every workout, help you significant other and ask them for it as a favor, or go to a massage parlor. The last option will get a lot of money out of your bank account so be sure you know what you are doing.
Add Ice to the bottle
If you use a water bottle during your workouts then try adding ice to it. Take little sips during your workout. This will help you keep cool thus you would be able to perform better for a longer duration. If you don’t want to drink that you can use it to get yourself a cold massage or get through the heat. Either way, it is beneficial.

Always warm-up and cool down
Warm-up and cool-down are very important but often neglected. These help the body transition from rest to work out and back easily with minimum chances of injury and sprains. Another important thing to note is just stretching is not warm-up and cool down.
